Mount Agung in Bali


Mount Agung is the highest mountain on the island of Bali with a height of 3,142 meters above sea level . The mountain is located in the district of Rendang , Karangasem regency - Bali . Mount Agung is a stratovolcano volcano , the crater of the mountain has a very large and very deep sometimes smoke and water vapor . From this mountain Besakih appear with perfect tapered cone , but the actual top of the mountain is elongated and ends in a circular craters and wide . From the top of Mount Agung we can see the peak of Mount Rinjani on Lombok island is located in the east , although both mountains are covered with clouds as the two peaks of the mountain above the clouds , the islands of Nusa Penida in the south along the beaches , including the Sanur beach and mountain and lake Batur in the northwest . For the Balinese , Mount Agung is a sacred mountain that is a sign of the majesty of the Almighty .
